All mains will have bump-ups (1 or 2 depending on track size). The highest finishing non-bump car in a lower main will receive points for 1 position behind last place in the higher main. For example: if the A-main consists of 6 direct qualifiers and 2 bump-ups from the B-main, the 3rd place finisher in the B-main will receive 9th place points.

Drivers will earn points for 2008 by competing in the following:

·         Best 5 out of 6 finishes in the Championship Series events (EDM Modified will only run on the Championship Series, as it will be comprised of tracks that can accommodate Modified speeds) (Summernationals can not be dropped).

AND

·         Best 3 out of 4 finishes in either the Eastern Regional Series or the Western Regional Series.  While racers can compete in events for both regions, only points from one region will be used to determine their total.

Point Fund Eligibility
Drivers must enter at least 8 out of 10 (Championship and Regional) events to qualify for the season ending point awards. Any combination of entries is acceptable. For example: 3 EDM Modified entries and 2 Big Block 19t entries count as 5 entries. More than 1 entry on a given day counts as 1 entry toward the minimum requirement (ex: entering 19t and mod at the Summernationals counts as 1 entry towards eligibility).  The top 5 in each division can earn awards, depending on the prize fund.

Race Procedure
Unless otherwise noted, all events will consist of two qualifying rounds and bump-up mains. All heats and mains will be 4 minutes unless announced otherwise.

In the event of threatening weather conditions at outdoor tracks, the WDRA sanctioned classes will run their mains prior to all other classes.  If the mains are rained out, event points will be awarded by qualifying order.
